Atrauman® Ag Silver-Containing Ointment Dressings

Atrauman® Ag Silver-Containing Ointment Dressings is a non-adherent wound contact layer designed for the treatment of chronic wounds such as venous leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, and pressure ulcers. It is also suitable for the care of acute wounds, including second-degree burns. The dressing is intended for professional use on human skin under the supervision of qualified medical personnel.

The carrier material is made of polyamide fibers coated with elemental silver, providing antimicrobial protection. The neutral lipid-based impregnation is free from active medicinal substances and helps maintain a moist wound environment. Ingredients include Caprylic/Capric/Myristic/Stearic Triglyceride, Bisdiglycerylpolyacyladipate-2, and Macrogol 2000.

Its thin, soft structure allows the dressing to conform closely to the wound bed, ensuring reliable contact. The impregnated surface prevents adherence to the wound, enabling atraumatic dressing changes. In addition, the formulation supports care of the wound edges and helps prevent maceration. The product is free from paraffin and fragrance.
